For properties built without a structural warranty in place, we offer a retrospective building warranty to protect you against future defects providing your property is less than 10 years old.

Our retrospective building warranty (or completed housing warranty) has been designed to protect home owners against structural defects if their property has been built, converted or had major refurbishment in the last 10 years without a structural warranty already in place. Cover is provided up to the balance of 10 years, for example a four-year old property would receive six years of warranty cover. A building warranty is important if you wish to sell a newly-built property.

We will arrange for a full structural survey to be carried out before cover is offered to highlight any existing problems.
